What this is
Garbage Smart is a place to ask a garbage expert questions on video and get answers on video.
Nothing you record is public. A question goes to a moderator first, then to the expert, and it only appears in the feed once the expert has answered it. Moderators remove anything that breaks these rules and can block accounts.
Be kind
Questions are about garbage, recycling, compost, trash trucks, and everything that goes with them. Keep it friendly.
Do not record anything that harasses, threatens, or makes fun of anyone. No hate, no nudity, no violence, and no sharing other people's private information such as addresses, phone numbers, or photos of people who did not agree.
Zero tolerance
Objectionable content is removed as soon as it is seen and the account that posted it is blocked. There is no warning system.
Every question and answer has a Report button. Moderators review every report.
Your videos
Your videos stay yours. By sending a question you give Garbage Smart permission to store it, transcribe it, and show it, with your display name and town, to the moderators, the expert, and, once it is answered and public, other members. That permission ends when you delete the question, which removes the videos.
Your controls
You can block any asker from the question screen so their questions stay out of your feed. You can undo that in Settings.
You can delete your own questions at any time, whether or not they have been answered. Deleting removes the videos too.
You can delete your account from Settings. That removes your profile, every question you asked, and the videos behind them.
